Questions You Might Have Before Your Shoot

Shoot day coming up? Keep it simple. Wear what feels good, bring a few looks, and let your personality lead. iPhone + natural light = honest, beautiful portraits. #iPhonePortraits #RealIsBetter

Wait—you shoot everything on an iPhone?

Yep. And after 30+ years with big cameras, I prefer it. It’s fast, flexible, and helps us stay relaxed. No intimidating gear. Just beautiful, honest portraits.

What should we wear?

Keep it simple. Wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Solid colors work well. Avoid loud patterns, logos, or anything overly trendy unless that’s your style.

Can we bring outfit changes?

Absolutely. Each session includes multiple looks. Bring a few options—layers, accessories, different textures. We’ll mix and match as we go.

Can we bring props—like hats, scarves, jewelry, or other accessories?

Yes, yes, and yes. Bring whatever helps express your personality. Props can be a fun way to change things up or add meaning to your shoot.

What about makeup?

Sessions don’t include a makeup artist, so come makeup-ready. Just enough to help you feel polished and confident—but not overdone.

What about my hair?

Same deal—please come with your hair done and ready to shoot. Once we start, we’ll roll with it.

Where do these shoots take place?

Headshots happen in my natural-light studio here in town. Couples, families, and lifestyle sessions are on location—we can choose a spot together.

Can you come to me?

Absolutely. If you’ve got a great yard, front porch, or nearby park, I’m all for it. The more personal, the better.

What time of day do you usually shoot?

Most sessions happen in the late afternoon when the light is soft and flattering—usually between 3:00 and 5:00 PM.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

No worries—I’ve raised three of my own. We’ll keep it fun, follow their lead, and capture real moments as they unfold.

How long until we get the photos?

You’ll receive your edited gallery within 7–10 days. Delivered digitally, high-res, and ready to share or print.

How many photos do we get?

That depends on your session type, but you’ll get a generous set of final images with plenty of variety. No nickel-and-diming here.

Do you offer retouching?

Yes, light and natural. Think of it as gentle polishing—you’ll still look like you, just on a really good day.

What if I don’t like the photos you take?

Then we’ll shoot them again—simple as that. I want you to be happy with what we create together.

What’s your rescheduling policy?

Just give me at least 48 hours’ notice if possible, and we’ll find another time that works.

How do I book?

Easy. Just email or text me directly. No forms, no fuss. We’ll pick a date and go from there.
