The World Around Me

I’m generally not big on Photo Contests. It’s just not my thing. Been there, done that.

I tend to seek appreciation and validation, for my work, elsewhere.

But, that said, I continue to believe, heartily, that Photo Contests and Photo Walks, for hobbyists photographers, are a necessary right of passage and a great learning experience.

This past Saturday, I joined one such International Photowalk, organized by Andy Butler, from Mobiography.

Andy and I are great friends and I’m a huge fan of all he does in this mobile space.

I would consider Andy one of the true, defining “elders” of the mobile photography space.

As part of the Mobiography Awards Photowalk Day, themed “The World Around Me”, these photos were all taken, over the course of the day, on Saturday 27th April 2024.

My shot list for the day included a much different itinerary but poor weather forced me, mostly, indoors.

Reality check-my life is one giant Photo Walk.

Thanks for the opportunity Andy.

It was really fun thinking, all day, that many of my mobile peers, around the world, were out snapping away.
