Hotel Bennett Charleston

I’m, unashamedly, a hotel and resort kind of guy, as opposed to an Air BnB kind of guy.

Enter Hotel Bennett

I like the pampered service of hotel life: clean sheets, meticulous service, friendly and gracious staff and concierge support, world-class edibles, new friends, drinks, romance, WIFI, the list goes on.

For those of you that have followed my photography career, this should come as no surprise since, for most of my professional life; I have photographed some of the world’s best and most luxurious hotels and resorts.

What is interesting about all this now is that I’m photographing properties with iPhones and not big-cameras. Yep.

You can hardly tell the difference.

I sort of blend in because I look like a guest. People treat me like a guest. I’m one of them. It’s a lovely experience. No more standing out. No fuss, no muss.

Hotel Bennet Charleston is a beautiful, picturesque property with 179 stylish guest rooms and suites that remarkably reflect Charleston’s famed elegance, grace, and charm.

It is owned by big-personality, native Charlestonian Michael Bennett, CEO of Bennett Hospitality, and managed by Salamander Hotels and Resorts. Salamander Resort & Spa

I have photographed this property on a number of occasions. Each visit reveals a new and unique sparkling side, like diamond reflections and refractions.

For me, as a photographer, and a deep appreciator of luxury living, it’s a hotel where fine-living meets fine-art.

Next time you spin through Charleston, look her up.

She awaits your company with open arms.

P.S. You have to try the “Jalapeño Business”: plantation pineapple rum, jalapeño and agave infusion, pineapple juice, lime juice.
