Religiously, M-F, I ride 4-5 miles around the lake on my bike, stopping at 10 points, along the way, to get off my bike and do modest strength training.
Today, additionally, I shot these infrared photos with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It’s super simple.
Here’s how I did it.
1. Purchase a Hoya R72 Infrared filter from Amazon ($50)
2. Attach the IR filter, easily, to your iPhone with the new, MagSafe Tiffen Smartphone 58mm Filter Mount
3. I use a 58mm>67mm step-up ring, with the adapter, since all my threaded filters sizes are 67mm
4. When you shoot, with the filter on, the images are red/pinkish coming out of the iPhone camera
5. Using the Apple Photos app, convert your image to B/W, using one of the 3 built-in Photos App filters (most of these are converted using “NOIR”)
6. Then minimally tweak, to your taste and liking, with the adjustment sliders-brilliance, Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness.
Viola-infrared with your iPhone. It’s a snap.
Click.
