I just began a 3-day assignment at the luxurious Salamander property in Washington, DC.
I left Cape Cod at 4.00am and arrived, by car, in DC, at 4.00pm. Easy peasy.
Knowing full well, that I had 2 days of rain ahead of me, upon arrival, I didn’t even check into my room but hopped on a bike to catch a few hours of remaining afternoon light.
It was spectacular, to say the least!
This is what I saw, through my iPhone lens.
They say I was about a week behind the peak Cherry Blossom season.
But I still managed to get more than a few picturesque snaps of this fairy-tale-like Spring setting here.
It’s gorgeous. Put this on your bucket list.
Because of politics, Washington gets a bad rap.
But, in my experience, as a photographer, this city is lushly electric and full, to the brim, of picturesque vision and vibe.
The Salamander property is centrally located to all the Basin, Monument, and Wharf action you could hope for.
Lincoln. Jefferson. Washington. Luther. And, humbly, iPhonejack:)
