Circle of Life

I have always loved the song, “Circle of Life”, in The Lion King Soundtrack.
I’m guessing you do too.
It is a powerful and moving song with equality powerful and moving lyrics.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t until today, on my way back from a long bike-ride around the lake, that I understood the import and impact of this song on my own tiny place in the world.
It’s, in miniature, my own philosophy of life-the circle of life.
Each lyric and line is an epic tale of how to live full and free.
“There’s more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done”
From our first blinking, when we step into the sun, until we close our eyes for one last and final time, we are on the endless round, the path unwinding….the circle of life. And it is glorious.
It’s time to join the stampede.
And never take more than you give
The ride or path, unfortunately for all, is not equal.
“Some of us fall by the wayside
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with the scars”
But no matter what, it is life, the circle of life-good, bad and ugly.
And somehow, someway, it’s imperative to find our place on this path unwinding.
Fortune. Faith. Hope. Sapphire skies. They all await.
