While I might be ahead of the class in using iPhones for photography, I am, unashamedly, a traditional photographer.
I proudly, passionately, and prolifically stand on the shoulders of countless photographic giants, scientists, inventors, and practitioners who have invested their time, energy, and earnings to make it possible for me to live a truly celebrated and enviable photographic life.
I might use modern tools for photography, but I continue to rely on the ancient, timeless foundations and fundamentals of drawing with light.
There are many photography trends around me every day, but I intentionally turn a blind eye to most of them and stick to the basics of what I have always known—capturing light.
Photographers today, for some odd reason, seem to be obsessed with apps, editing, and all manner of artificial trickery. But make no mistake, there are tens of thousands of traditional photographers, just like me, who sit at the same photographic altar, creating photographic moments, memories, and even masterpieces.

I like being an outlier. It suits my personality.
I don’t care what others think about what I shoot, how I shoot, where I shoot, when I shoot, or even why I shoot. I just humbly go about recording life in fractions of a second, sharing these works with others who, at some level, share a similar sensitivity and sensibility as myself.
I live a photographic life because I am, through and through,a photographer.
